Color Throwdown

Hiya,
just got home from my daughter's band concert.
She did well and sat nicely while playing her flute.
GO POKIE!

So I tried my first color challenge.

I didn't have the burgundy, so I substituted SU Cherry Cobbler.
Square card, my fave.
Bless the scrap pile, it had everything I needed.
Stamped on the MME DP, did a tag, tab thing with some sponging.
Didn't have a sentiment that I liked so I left  it ________.
TOO lazy to drag out the sewing machine and hand-stitched the edge of the SU Top Note die.
Not too bad for late at night on an empty stomach.

Stamp: SU The Sounding Joy.
Paper: Various scraps in Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive Crumb Cake, Soft Suede.
Ink: SU Cherry Cobbler.
Embellies: Die Cuts (last years ???), pearls, some crazy handstitching.

I am soooo excited for Saturday. Why? you say.
I am signed up for a Copic marker class.  These are the Rolls Royce of markers.
Check out this blog to see examples of the markers in action.
Plus, super awesome stamps and even awesomer dies.

A slow day at work had me watching Copic tutorials on YouTube most of the day. (slacker)
Hey, if there's no calls.......gotta do something while glued to a phone headset.
Anyway, I did a quick search and PRESTO-a class this weekend, just a few miles away.

I will let you know how it goes.
G'nite,
Kristine
